Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 18, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We aim to be straightforward — no legalese walls.

1. What We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects billing details — we do not store your full card number.

Content you provide

This includes product briefs, brand guidelines, audience descriptions, and any other inputs you give your Spacebears. We also store the content your Spacebears generate, including drafts, research, and insights.

Usage data

We collect standard usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information. This helps us understand how people use the product and where we can improve.

Third-party platform data

When you connect a marketing channel (e.g., Reddit), your Spacebears may access public data from that platform as needed to perform their work. We only access what is necessary and in accordance with each platform's terms.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • + To operate the service. Your content is used by your Spacebears to research, draft, and surface insights on your behalf.
  • + To improve the product. Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand what's working and what isn't.
  • + To communicate with you. We may send transactional emails (e.g., billing receipts, security alerts) and occasional product updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
  • + To enforce our terms. We may review activity to detect abuse or violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only when necessary:

  • Infrastructure providers that host and run the service (e.g., cloud hosting, database services).
  • AI model providers that power your Spacebears. Content is sent to these providers to generate responses. We select providers with strong data handling practices.
  • Payment processors that handle billing on our behalf.
  • Law enforcement if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can do most of this from your account settings. For anything else, contact us and we will respond promptly.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to understand how you use the site. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
